Atlanta Hawks Headquarters :: Injuries Hamper Hawks

30-52 is not the kind of season you brag about. Nonetheless, the Hawks are calling their future a bright one; after a season thwarted by injuries, talk in the locker room is about coming back recovered from those injuries and laying down a proper performance. Is this just scapegoating? For the sake of next season, let's hope not.

Atlanta Hawks Headquarters :: Hawks down the Celtics

After an 8-point halftime deficit, the Hawks rallied yesterday to come out victorious of the Boston Celtics with a final score of 104-96. Lue and Pachulia were the top scores with 26 and 22 points, respectively. Hey, if you can't advance to the playoffs, better to go out with some dignity.

Atlanta Hawks Headquarters :: And now for something completely different.

The Atlanta Hawks finished the season with a 26-56 record. We had the opportunity to do better but somehow couldn’t. We beat teams like the Mavericks but lost to teams like the Orlando Magic. It was a hard season for fans and I hope that next season can be better. For now I will cheer on the Dallas Mavericks in the playoffs.

Atlanta Hawks Headquarters :: Man he’s a young one.

I am really a big fan of Josh Smith. He is the backbone of the Atlanta Hawks offense. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think he came to the NBA right out of High School. Sometimes I am not sure I am ok with that because I think players benefit from the college experience. To their credit, most of the younger guys come in and have such spectacular careers that you forget they skipped a step previously thought to be requisite.

Atlanta Hawks Headquarters :: Smith has that little extra something.

From what I have seen lately, Josh Smith has been a big contributor on the court and has grown up a lot. He was key in the Atlanta Hawks win over the New Jersey Nets. He put down the shot that sent us into overtime and then produced more points in overtime which led to our win. Can Smith be the player that wakes this team up from its slumber?

Atlanta Hawks Headquarters :: Hawks Abysmal Performance Requires Some Obligatory Make-Up Wins

The Atlanta Hawks are working hard to make up for a rash of losing streaks but no one can ignore their failing defense these days. Sometimes I find it easier to focus on the Super Bowl than worry about the Hawks record. I wish I could get Super Bowl tickets. That would really take my mind off things.

Atlanta Hawks Headquarters :: Wilt the Stilt or Shaq Attack?

A new debate has aroused my thoughts, a debate that will probably continue for ages to come. The question being; who is better Shaquille O’Neal or Wilt Chamberlin? Now before anyone decides to answer this question, one should take time to think about it. To think about all the factors that comes into play. For one I am not a big fan of Shaq but the man is very good at what he does and will some day join Wilt in the Basketball Hall...

Atlanta Hawks Headquarters :: Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame

On June 10th one of the most electrifying players in Atlanta Hawks history and NBA history will be honored. Dominique Wilkins will be inducted into the Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame. Remember earlier in the year when he didn’t even get nominated for the Basketball Hall of Fame, Wilkins made a stink about it. I guess that got him into the Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame. Others who will be inducted this year will be Hank Aaron, Bobby Cox, Bobby Jones, Tommy Nobis ...

Atlanta Hawks Headquarters :: Question?

Just wondering how many you Hawk fans out there are really Hawk fans? How many of your fans jumped off the band wagon because of the Hawks worst season, and for those of you crazy enough to follow this team all season, when did you become Hawk fans? How did you become Hawk fans? And why did you become a Hawk fan?

Atlanta Hawks Headquarters :: No Bueno

It was a painful season for the Atlanta Hawks. They went 13-69 which happens to a new record but nothing to be proud of. With the 13 wins the Hawks had the fewest wins in NBA history as well as a franchise low. “We would have liked things to have been better, but they weren’t. You can’t sit around and make excuses or complain. You just move on. The Draft is the next thing on our books so that’s what we’re working on.” - Hawks Exec...
