Craig Hickman's Tennis Blog :: WIMBLEDON 2008: Men's Final Preview

by MadProfessah

Here we go again. Federer-Nadal III. The top two players are playing in the Wimbledon final for the third consecutive year. Actually this will be the seventh time the two have played against each other in a major final and only 4 weeks after the last time they played.

Nadal has a 4-2 lead in the head-to-head but Nadal has won the 4 Grand Slam matches they have played on clay (3

Tennis Balls :: Two Days

Yesterday was quite a busy tennis day for me. I played a match against my old doubles partner that ended up lasting roughly three and a half hours. Holden and I have been playing against one other for about ten years, so we know each other's games extremely well. I managed to pull off the win in three sets 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (6). In the third set tiebreaker, I was down 1-6 but came back to win it. That's a satisfying feeling. Two things that I've been working to improve on are hitting good approac...

Tennis Balls :: Men's Final Recap

First of all, it was ridiculous of me to root for Nadal. It wasn't silly to pick him, but it was very silly to think that I could get through a match without becoming incredibly annoyed by him. Three things stuck out, almost instantaneously swinging me into the Federer camp: 1) When Nadal and Federer were coming out of the locker rooms, Nadal was jumping around like a madman, stretching and flexing like crazy. Federer, on the other hand, was kind of lurking behind just glaring at h...

Tennis Balls :: Men's Final Preview

I just got home from playing tennis with my friend Mike. We were both on the team in high school. He was the top player, whereas at my absolute apex, I'd say I was number 5 (out of 20 total players, 10 on varsity). So basically he's a lot better than me. He always kills me when we play. But you know what? He had an off-day. After losing the first set 6-1, I was...

Tennis Balls :: Women's Final

What a crappy morning. Not only did final blow, but the Phillies signed Jose Mesa. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember Mesa's first stint with the Phillies ending poorly. Whatever. I'm sure Pat

Tennis Balls :: Women's Final Preview

The women's final is just hours away, so I thought I'd throw in my two cents. The biggest storylines as far as I can tell are Justine Henin's quest to become the first player since Monica

The FrameShot Tennis Blog :: Review: Wii Tennis

Wii Tennis for the Nintendo Wii is one of the best tennis “games” ever. While it’s not the most accurate video game version of tennis, it’s the most easily accessible and is great to play with friends.
How it works
To hit the ball in the video game, all you need to do is flick your wrist [...]
